Rental terms

Eligibility
Renters must hold a valid driver’s licence held for at least twelve months. Minimum age is 25 for every vehicle in the fleet, as all vehicles fall within our insurer’s premium class. Additional drivers must be present at pickup with their own licence and meet the same age requirement.
Payment and deposit
The full rental amount, including taxes and the facility fee, is charged at the time of booking through Stripe. A refundable $200 security hold is placed on the same card at pickup and released within three business days of return, subject to your bank’s processing time. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are not stored by RV-Team.
Cancellation
Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled pickup receive a full refund to the original payment method. Cancellations inside 24 hours are refunded in full less one day’s rental. No-shows are charged the full booking amount. Refunds are typically visible within three business days.
Mileage and territory
Mileage is unlimited within the State of Texas. Travel outside Texas is permitted with prior notice and is limited to 200 miles per rental day beyond the state line. Vehicles may not be taken into Mexico under any circumstances; doing so voids all coverage.
Fuel
Vehicles are supplied at a recorded fuel level and must be returned at that level. Shortfalls are charged at the prevailing local pump price with no additional service fee. RV-Team does not offer or require prepaid fuel.
Damage and insurance
The optional collision damage waiver reduces the renter’s liability for damage to the rental vehicle to zero. Where the waiver is declined, the renter is liable for the full cost of repair, and their own motor insurance or credit-card benefit applies. The waiver does not cover damage arising from prohibited use, including driving under the influence, off-road use, or operation by an undeclared driver.
Tolls and citations
The optional TxTag pass covers Austin-area tolls, billed at cost after return with no administration fee. Without the pass, tolls incurred are billed at cost plus a $6 processing charge per rental. Parking and traffic citations remain the responsibility of the renter and are passed on in full.
Breakdown and roadside assistance
24-hour roadside assistance is included with every rental. Where a vehicle cannot be made driveable, RV-Team will supply a replacement of equivalent class at no additional cost, or refund the unused portion of the rental at the renter’s election.
Liability
RV-Team’s liability is limited to the amount paid for the rental. RV-Team is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including missed flights, missed connections, or lost business, save where such limitation is prohibited by Texas law.
